The pleasure of getting feedback on the difference Rotary can make locally.

The Rotary Club of Market Harborough holds the Annual SwiMarathon in spring each year. The swimmers have a great time and every year so far have raised enough money to give away over £7,000 annually.

The money is awarded in grants to local organisations who made applications, judged carefully by a panel of local people, including both Rotarians and non-Rotarians. The grants are presented at a special event in the summer, after all the sponsorship monies are collected in, and adverts have been placed in the Harborough Mail, inviting submissions from local good causes. At the Awards Evening, each recipient has two minutes on stage to tell everyone, the Rotarians, the other Awardees, prize winners and our all important business sponsors, how they plan to spend their grant. The grants awarded by the panel usually range from £50 to £500. This event is a great opportunity to tell people about Rotary, for the Rotarians to learn about the other organisations and and for the organisations to learn about each other's activities.

“Thank you for providing waterbased opportunities which give our cadets great experiences, new skills, confidence and great qualifications.”

“All this extra work would not be possible without your support.  We are very grateful”

“Your donation has already made a huge difference to the work of the Trust. Please pass on our sincere thanks.”
